Who heard is for
heard is a personal wellness and peer support app for adults 13 and older. It is not a medical service, therapy platform, or crisis intervention service. It is a place to be heard, to connect, and to grow.
Not a substitute for professional help
heard is not a licensed mental health provider. The AI companion is not a therapist and conversations with it are not therapy. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or emergency services immediately.
heard complements professional support — it does not replace it.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be truthful when creating an account. One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
Community conduct
heard's community rooms are built on trust. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Share content that is abusive, hateful, or exploitative
- Attempt to identify other users' real identities
- Spam or promote commercial products
- Impersonate heard, its AI, or other users
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
Subscriptions and billing
heard offers a free tier and a premium subscription at $9/month. Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
Your content
You own your journal entries and conversation history. By using heard, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of anything you write.
Availability
heard is provided "as is." We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Limitation of liability
heard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you by email or in-app notice before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
